Delta One Suites
About a year and a half ago, Delta released their newest business class product and upped the ante with their “Delta One Suites.” With the privacy of a suite and without having to shell first class points, I’ve been dying to try out Delta’s latest product. The suites were first only available on Delta’s newly received A350-900s, but over the last year they’ve been retrofitting their 777-200s and 767-400s with their flagship interior. One of the routes that is soon to be completed (by May 2019) with this refresh is the daily direct flight between Los Angeles and Paris on their 777-200.
Delta SkyMiles
The problem with Delta SkyMiles is finding award availability at an affordable rate. I’ve been monitoring the LAX-CDG route for months and 95% of the time there’s only availability in business class for 320,000 SkyMiles one way! But recently, Delta has released reduced rates to Europe where you can book a roundtrip in Delta One suites for just 128,000 SkyMiles roundtrip! That’s a savings of 82,000 SkyMiles at the lowest rate and 512,000 at the highest rate.
Finding Availability
Be sure to search with flexible dates to find the lowest award rates through the summer. You’ll want to search “Nonstop”, “5 Weeks”, and set your trip duration to find the reduced rates:
