Check your email because Barclaycard is sending new US Airways® Premier World MasterCard® holders a promotional offer to earn an additional 15,000 free US Airways Dividend Miles! In the email it says you can “Earn 15,000 bonus miles when you spend $750 each month in January, February and March.” Spending $750 in a month is a pretty easy feat for most, and if it’s not, just use your American Express Serve card to load $200 a day for up to $1,000 per month from a credit card!
Referral Bonus:
Make sure to also check your referral bonus offer – Barcalycard is offering between 5,000 and 10,000 points per credit car referral for The US Airways® Premier World MasterCard®. Combine the 50,000 point increased sign up offer with the 15,000 point bonus for spending $750 in 3 consecutive months, AND send some credit card referrals to your friends and you could be looking at 100,000+ points! YMMV.
It seems pretty obvious to me that all these promotions and increased sign up offers mean that this card won’t be available for very much longer. With the impending and official merging of American Airlines and US Airways only months away, Dividend Miles will soon merge with American’s AAdvantage program and all of these points will become AAdvantage points. So if you’re thinking of getting the 50,000 point card for only spending $1, now is the time to go for it! 50,000 points can equal 2 free roundtrip tickets between Los Angeles and New York, or one way in business class to Europe!
Fine Print: Offer is valid for select Cardmembers and is not transferable. You will earn 15,000 bonus miles after you charge over $750 in net retail purchases (purchases that are not returned or rescinded) each month from January 1, 2015 through March 31, 2015 based on the transaction date. If you do not spend over $750 in any of the 3 months of the promotion, you will not be eligible for any bonus miles as part of this offer. To receive your bonus miles, your account must be open and in good standing.
This is (or at least has been) fairly regular and targeted. Currently my wife is doing a Nov-Dec-Jan. It seems to trigger on inactive accounts most of the time.
This targeted offer is a regular one that Barclays makes to new US Airways cardholders and has for a few years — they want to get you used to using your new card.
So folks who have had the card for awhile won’t likely have received this, but most who signed up recently should.
Thanks for helping clarify, I meant to make the distinction that new cardholders should be on the lookout for this offer by email.
What do you think about sending an SM to see if they will offer? I didn’t get the email.
You might as well screenshot it and ask them to honor it. Not sure if they will but nothing to lose!
So is this basically 5K bonus a month? (45K seems pretty good to me. Too good, in fact)
Yup, 5k for spending $750 is awesome. Not sure where you got the 45k from.
I got this offer for Dec-Jan-Feb and now again today for Jan-Feb-Mar. I’m going to take the “risk” and spend through March. I wonder if I’ll get the bonus twice. Did anyone else get this twice?
Definitely worth a shot. And if they don’t give you the 30k then try hanging up and calling again for each promotional offer separately.
This isn’t just for new card memebers. I am an existing card member and my offer is for $500 of spend Dec/Jan/Feb
Good to know that they’re extending this offer to a lot of cardholders. If cardholders don’t receive an email with the offer, it might be worth reaching out to Barclaycard and asking to be included in the promo.
I got it for Dec Jan and Feb my account had been active for months
My wife just signed up for this card and hasn’t gotten the offer, at least not yet. I’ll have to keep checking
Wife and I are both coming up on first year anniversary with this card, in January. I got the 15k offer via mail and email, but she only got an offer for 5k via mail and email. Both require the $500/month in Jan, Feb, Mar.
-Will try to get her offered matched to mine.
Would be interested in knowing if they matched offers across spouses. Exact same situation here – I received 15k offer for $500/3 months, wife’s offer was only 5k for same spend. We got both cards on 2/10/14 so almost a year ago.
