Chase Freedom: A Great First Credit Card with an Increased Sign Up Offer!

We all know that some of the heavy hitters in the credit card industry like the Chase Sapphire Preferred, American Express Starwood Preferred Guest Card, and the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard are the best starter credit cards when first trying to accrue valuable rewards, miles, and points in the mileage game that we all play. However, not everyone I know can qualify for these mentioned cards if it’s one of their first personal credit cards.

Another great option to build credit with a card that can earn valuable points AND cash back, is the Chase Freedom Card. The Chase Freedom Card earns 1% cash back on every single purchase and 5% cash back on rotating categories throughout the year. On top of having the Chase Freedom Card, if you have a Chase checking account as well, you can earn a whopping 10% cash back on purchases made at the rotating category stores! Each quarter you just activate your Chase Freedom card and your eligible for 5-10% cash back on up to $1,500 of spending in each quarter. The current quarter of 5% cash back includes Amazon.com and a long list of department stores. You can buy gift cards to other stores from Amazon.com and save big!

Now, if you’re not interested in earning cash back then that’s okay too. This card still accrues Ultimate Rewards points, but they can only be transferred to hotels and airlines and utilized in the major travel reward programs if you also get a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Ink Plus Card. Once you have one or both of those cards, the points you earned from your Chase Freedom Card are transferrable to these programs. So, once you build some credit and accrue a bunch of points, you can sign up for one of those cards and you’ll already have a ton of points including that new sign up bonus!

The regular Chase Freedom sign up offer is only 10,000 points when you spend $500 in 3 months. However, for a limited time, this offer has been increased to 20,000 points when you spend $500 in 3 months! Also, earn an extra 2,500 points when you add an additional user! Best of all, this card has no annual fee and is one of the best earning cards out there without a fee! I also love the introductory rate of 0% APR on the first 15 months of having the card!

So if you’re thinking of getting a first card, or just want to take advantage of a great offer from a great card and accrue valuable Ultimate Rewards points, Apply Now!
