As Uber continues to revolutionize the way we get around town and take rides to and from the airport, it is quickly becoming a favorite mode of transportation for those who try it. If you have yet to try Uber, sign up now for a free ride up to $30 and find out what all of the fuss is about. For my review of Uber, read below!

Review:

Uber is a car service like no other. Uber uses your phone’s GPS to detect your location and connects you with the nearest available driver. You can get picked up anywhere even if you don’t know the exact address. When you request a ride, Uber detects the nearest driver and coordinates a pickup by texting you the driver’s ETA and when he arrives. You can also call your driver through the app or message him if you need to. Uber’s fares vary by city and are sometimes pricier than taxis, but the fixed rates to and from airports are what I use them for. Uber is available in the following cities:

There are multiple options and car services ranging from a regular sedan car, to a taxi, to a black car service – uberX, uberT, Black Car, and SUV. Instead of waiting in long airport lines, or waiting for a taxi to pick you up for the airport, I’ll jump on an Uber and enjoy the convenience of this one-touch service that summons my personal ride.

A fixed rate from NYC to JFK airport is $70. With the $30 free credit for new users, you only pay $40. Or use the credit to get around the city, or get picked up when you go out with friends to get drinks. To receive the first $20 in credit, enter promo code Flymiler when you sign up for Uber. Or click this link to sign up for the $30 bonus.
